    An early morning crash in Wellington has left two people dead and another two critically injured


    A car, driving the wrong way down the urban motorway, crashed into another vehicle just before 4.30.

    Two people travelling southbound in a northbound lane, have died.

    Two people in a northbound vehicle are in hospital in a critical condition.

    Police have launched an investigation and are asking witnesses to the crash to get in touch.

    One witness has told the Herald she saw the car driving the wrong way on the motorway - as she drove into work.

    Her colleague also saw it, entering the motorway near Petone.
