Joel Kinnaman and Kelly Gale are engaged

The 'Suicide Squad' star and the Victoria's Secret model have confirmed they are to tie the knot after Joel got down on one knee during a trip away together

Sharing a picture of the proposal, he wrote on Instagram: "She said no. Just kiddin... (sic)"

Whilst Kelly shared a picture of the couple kissing, captioning it: "Yours forever (sic)"

Meanwhile, Kelly previously revealed her and Joel work so well because they're "respectful" with each other and always do their best to "communicate" with one another.

Asked what makes their romance work, she said: "We love each other and we have a lot of fun together. And we're super honest, respectful and just communicative. (sic)"

Kelly also revealed how she knew Joel was the one for her.

Speaking about their special trip together, she added: "We went on a spontaneous trip to Bali together after only three dates ... On our trip to Bali he got up at 1am to go on a night/early hike with me ... I was like, 'Ok he's my guy.' In the rain and dark we hiked through the night."

Joel and Kelly had been romantically linked since they were spotted at Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival together in April 2019 but their romance went from strength to strength.

And when Joel and Kelly get married, it will likely be a big wedding as Joel previously opened up about his blended family and he loves the "untraditional little units" within his family.

He said: "I have five sisters, but we don’t all have the same parents. I have an adopted sister, too, it’s just a litter of people from different places.

"One of my sisters has a baby with her gay friend, but also another kid with her man, so there are these untraditional little units in our larger untraditional unit. The traditional definition of family doesn’t apply to my family and I think that’s how the world is now."
