Olivia Munn has congratulated her ex-boyfriend Joel Kinnaman after he announced his engagement to Kelly Gale

The 40-year-old actress - who dated Joel from 2012 until 2014 - has taken to social media to offer her best wishes to the 41-year-old actor, who announced his engagement via Instagram

Sharing a picture of the proposal, he wrote on the platform: "She said no. Just kiddin... (sic)"

The Victoria's Secret model also posted a photograph of the couple kissing.

Kelly, 25, captioned the image: "Yours forever [heart emoji] (sic)"

And Olivia wasted little time in offering her congratulations to the loved-up couple.

The Hollywood actress - who also dated baseball star Aaron Rodgers between 2014 and 2017 - replied with a series of "100" emojis.

Elsewhere, Wilmer Valderrama, Joel's showbiz pal, offered his congratulations after the couple announced their engagement.

He wrote on the photo-sharing platform: "Yes brother!! Felicidades, Here’s to an amazing and adventurous life. (sic)"

Meanwhile, Kelly previously revealed that good communication has been one of the keys to their romance.

Asked what makes their relationship work, she said: "We love each other and we have a lot of fun together. And we're super honest, respectful and just communicative."

Kelly became convinced that Joel was the ideal guy for her after they went on holiday together to Bali.

At the time, the couple had only been on three dates, but she had no doubt that their romance would last.

Recalling how she fell in love with the actor, Kelly said: "We went on a spontaneous trip to Bali together after only three dates ... On our trip to Bali he got up at 1am to go on a night/early hike with me ... I was like, 'Ok he's my guy.' In the rain and dark we hiked through the night."
