The men's world indoor shot put record has been broken
25 January 2021
Olympic champion Ryan Crouser has propelled the iron orb 22.82 metres at a meet in Arkansas.
He's broken the record of 22.66 metres set by compatriot Randy Barnes in 1989.
Two of Crouser's six throws went further than the previous mark, with the best one parachuting out beyond the mats.
Barnes still holds the outdoor record of 23.12 metres set in 1990, two months before getting sprung for using an anabolic steroid.
