General Motors - the owner of the Australian made cars - is in the process of retiring the brand, due to falling demand.
The last vehicle from its production line - built in 2017 - is up for auction in Adelaide, a red Commodore VF Series.
Lloyds Auctions chief operations officer Lee Hames says its online auction is causing a bit of a stir.
He says this due to the significance Holden vehicles hold for many Australian and New Zealand families.
