A teacher has resigned from his new job - after being caught discussing sex and drugs on Instagram with former students

Edward Coad talked about prostitutes, genital size, drugs and binge drinking on Instagram with Year 12 St Kentigern College students.

He'd left a few days earlier to take up a new job as head of maths at Lumsden's Northern Southland College.

He has been censured by the The Teachers Disciplinary Tribunal and resigned two months after the Instagram chat came to light.
