Cabinet met an hour ago to discuss if Auckland will stay at Level Three - while New Zealand sits at Level Two.
It follows the discovery of two new local cases in south Auckland, sibling who attend Papatoetoe High School.
One is a classmate of the girl already in quarantine with her mother and father, after they tested positive on Sunday.
There's still one close contact and 363 casual contacts from the high school waiting for Covid-19 test results.
