A slain Christchurch man is being remembered as a "good friend" who was a great leader in his workplace

Fijian born Faiz Ali was found dead at an Armagh Street block of flats last night.

He was a manager at Phillipstown's Krazy Price Mart.

A colleague at the store - Nishaal Nikesh - says he wasn't aware the victim had any grudges or disagreements with anyone.

A 38-year-old ma appeared in the Christchurch District Court this morning accused of Ali's murder.
