Chloe Madeley gets advice from her dad when she’s having problems with her husband

The 33-year-old fitness guru knows she can rely on presenter Richard Madeley to “counsel” her through rows with James Haskell and his advice will always be impartial and fair

She told new! magazine: “If I call my dad up and James and I have had an argument, he will counsel me through it.

"One of my biggest downfalls as a person is I find it hard to let things go and move on.

“So, my dad will always tell me, ‘Let it go Chloe, this is ridiculous’. He’ll put me in my place.

“But then at the same time, if he thinks James has done something wrong, he’ll say, ‘Stand your ground’.“

But Chloe won’t discuss her relationship with her mother, Judy Finnegan, because she knows the writer will always take James’ side.

She said: “I don’t really speak to mum about our marriage, because she will always back James.”

James added: “It’s so true. I’ll call up Judy and she says, ‘Leave Chloe and marry me.’"

If the pair do argue, it’s often over the heat of their home.

James moaned: “Chloe messes with the thermostat every day so the house turns into a tropical sauna.

“In February, I’m sat in my shorts and a T-shirt.

“Also, she will never go to bed, even though she’s tired. She’s always the last to leave the party.”

The couple – who married in 2018 – don’t want to “rush” into having children of their own but the 35-year-old rugby player hinted it’s something they’re thinking about.

He said: “We’re not rushing into anything. Chloe and I want to find somewhere to settle.

“We’ve had conversations about it and I think she’d be an unbelievable mum.

    “It’s probably not far off.”
