Russell Brand has penned a new story for Audible

The 45-year-old star has written 'REVELATION: Connecting with the Sacred in Everyday Life' which will be published on the audiobook service on March 25

The tome, which is also narrated by Russell, will take listeners through a deep, earnest, yet witty dive into the meaning of life, death, and the sacred space in between and will be narrated by the comedian and actor.

Brand finds the sacred in a variety of people and locations, from an Australian woman living alone in a forest at one with nature and technology to a former addict celebrating an anniversary in recovery with friends – all ex-addicts – at a community centre in Los Angeles.

The star will also be delving into the mortality of close friends, beloved pets and – ultimately – ourselves.

'Revelation' explores the need for the sacred in a world which places high value on qualities such as wealth.

Russell said: "The only way we will save ourselves and save the world is by attuning to the deep and ever present beauty in ourselves, nature and each other. Whether in relationships, personal development or politics we will find peace only through awakening to the sacred.

"In this Audible Original, I explore the necessary presence of God in ordinary life and everyday death. In lockdown, in addiction, in loneliness, in political despair and ecological nihilism we can only survive personally and socially if we awaken to the deep and neglected reality of the sacred in all things."
