    A fleeing Christchurch driver has abandoned a baby in a car, after crashing through a fence


    The Star reports it seems the man was being chased by another vehicle, before losing control and ploughing into a Parkland property about 10am.

    Soon after the Honda Odyssey's driver ran off, CCTV footage shows another man taking the baby from the crashed car's back seat.

    Witness Justin Campbell says he feared for his life, when the Honda almost hit him as he was about to get in his parked car.

    He says the driver told him he was being chased.
