A man has initial name suppression after being charged with threatening to kill, over online messages about attacking Christchurch mosques

The threats were made just ahead of the March 15 anniversary of the terror attack that killed 51 people, at the Al Noor and Linwood mosques in 2019.
The 27-year-old appeared before Judge John Walker in the Christchurch District Court this morning.
He will remain in custody until his next court appearance on March 19.
The accused was arrested yesterday over threats made on internet site 4chan.
Another man initially arrested has since been released.
