A trifecta of trans-Tasman sporting victories for New Zealand sides over Australia

A trifecta of trans-Tasman sporting victories for New Zealand sides over Australia

The Silver Ferns have won netball's Constellation Cup for the first time since 2012 - and just the second time in 11 editions - after beating Australia 3-1 in the four-match series in Christchurch.

The home side took out game four 45-43.

Skipper Ameliaranne Ekenasio was part of the fourth-placed 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games team - she's reflected on the turnaround.

Wellington have notched back-to-back A-League football wins for the first time in nearly a year, beating Perth 3-nil - they also kept a second straight clean sheet.

Coach Ufuk Talay says their game plan worked.

And a 3-2 win for the Blacks Caps against Australia in their T20 cricket series.

New Zealand also now have an opponent for the inaugural World Test Championship final in June.

India's secured the other spot with a 3-1 series victory over England.

Black Caps coach Gary Stead will get his clipboard ready, eventually.

However, the White Ferns have suffered a 3-nil loss to England.
