Alice Robinson has continued her late season surge, finishing second in the giant slalom at the latest World Cup in Slovakia

She's clocked the fastest second run to finish just 0.16 of a second behind the winner, local Petra Vlhova, and ahead of Olympic champion Mikaela Shiffrin.

Her co-coach Chris Knight says she recovered from a poor start.

Robinson rises to eighth in the overall standings with one race remaining.
