Christchurch's Mayor says a council based rebrand is about supporting local

Christchurch's Mayor says a council based rebrand is about supporting local

Council-owned events company VBase will spend 49 thousand this month on a rebrand ... to Venues Otautahi.

It also aims to deepen the connection with the community.

Lianne Dalziel says this involves "repositioning" to focus on local products.

She says the company now sources 71 per cent of all its food and beverage products from Canterbury.

Dalziel says prior to April last year this was only five per cent.
