Police are still investigating the death of a 29-year-old woman in Pukekohe, south of Auckland, on Wednesday

She been confirmed as Toakase Finau from Mangere.

Her body was found at a McNally Road address on Wednesday morning, as Police conducted a bail check.

An man found injured at the property is in a critical condition at Middlemore Hospital.

Acting Detective Senior Sergeant Craig Bolton says they're still examining the scene.

Police want to hear from with anyone with information that could help their investigation.
