Ashwani Lal was suspended from working for nine months after being convicted for stealing 15 hundred dollars from patients.
She was working at Pukekohe Rehabilitation and Care Unit.
Ashwani Lal stole a disabled patient's credit card to pay 1226 dollars in power bills in 2016.
She also stole a colleague's debit card - and used it to pay off almost three hundred dollars of phone and power bills.
A tribunal found although it's a serious case of dishonesty, cancelling her registration is unnecessary -- as the woman demonstrated she's capable of rehabilitation.
