Government are again discussing quarantine free travel today between New Zealand and Australia.
Christchurch employment lawyer Amy Keir says although employees aren't required to disclose holiday plans, a good relationship requires clear communications.
She says parties must be prepared for if the bubble suddenly closes - and the employee has to spend two weeks in quarantine.
