Minister Kelvin Davis has apologised after claims of degrading and inhumane treatment at Auckland's Womens Prison were aired by an inmate during an arson trial.
He wants a detailed plan on how Corrections will address systemic issues - and an urgent overhaul of the maximum security classification for women.
