A heartwarming turn of events for a Paraparaumu foodbank, following a large scale burglary

A heartwarming turn of events for a Paraparaumu foodbank, following a large scale burglary

Ten-thousand dollars has been donated to the Kapiti Community Foodbank from the Letham Charitable Trust.

Last week, thieves stole almost everything from a shipping container outside the centre, which was supposed to last them until the end of May.

Foodbank coordinator Kerry Lovell says without the donation, they would have run out of food in a week.

She says they constantly have families coming in with very genuine needs, and they need to be able to supply food.
