Most of the drug offending was in Palmerston North, but there have also been incidents at Burnham camp and Christchurch.
Seven people were dismissed, with others sentenced to a stint in military prison and fined.
There were 11 cases found with Class A drugs - a category that includes methamphetamine, cocaine, heroin and LSD.
MDMA was the most commonly found or intercepted drug.
A spokesperson says the misuse of substances is incompatible with military duties.
