The fifth-to-first London Olympics double sculling triumph decreed NZ's sporting moment of the decade

The fifth-to-first London Olympics double sculling triumph of Nathan Cohen and Joseph Sullivan has been decreed New Zealand's sporting moment of the decade at the annual Halberg Awards function in Auckland

Fellow rowers Eric Murray and Hamish Bond were declared the supreme and team award winners for their invincibility across two Olympic cycles in the men's pair.

Former All Blacks captain Richie McCaw and canoeist Lisa Carrington took out the respective sportsman and woman honours.

Sophie Pascoe wrapped up the para-athlete title, while Gordon Walker took the spoils in the coaching ranks.
