KiwiRail will continue its Tranz Alpine service through the winter

KiwiRail will continue its Tranz Alpine service through the winter

The Christchurch to Greymouth rail service was initially expected to wrap up for winter in May, due to low demand.

But Tranz Alpine will now run both ways on Thursday and Friday.

Another service -- the Coastal Pacific -- will run between Chrischurch and Picton on Saturdays and Sundays.
