Firefighters have kept an overnight watch on the site of a big factory fire in Christchurch

At its peak, around 50 firefighters worked to control flames at the Romano's Food Group pizza factory.

There's extensive damage to the building, and a Fire and Emergency crew is expected to be on site while further demolition continues this morning.

The fire is not being treated as suspicious.
