Ground-level light rail remains the Greens' preference for mass transit in Auckland

Chief political reporter Alex Mason says the party is welcoming a new unit, set up to engage with Aucklanders about what works for them.
Transport spokesperson Julie Anne Genter says street-level light rail is substantially cheaper than an underground metro, and more accessible for people with mobility issues.
She says the Government would be able to afford to extend the network further, faster - eventually reaching northwestern suburbs and across the Harbour Bridge.
