Concerns our healthcare system is failing people with Osteoarthritis

It's the most common form of arthritis worldwide and affects around one in eight adults in New Zealand.
Osteoarthritis mainly affects the knees and hips, causing pain and stiffness in those joints.
University of Otago Research Professor Haxby Abbott believes the situation here is getting worse, and our healthcare system is partly to blame.
He says our system should be delivering on the recommended best practices' to deal with the condition, as it currently doesn't.
