New housing rules haven't yet cooled the market

March was the hottest month on record for Auckland real estate giant Barfoot and Thompson.
It sold nearly two-thousand homes for an average more than 1.1-million dollars.
That's despite new loan-to-value ratios, and laws to discourage investors.
Managing Director, Peter Thompson, predicts property prices won't show the effects until May.
But he says activity did slow slightly for a few days straight after the announcements.
