    Jasper Phillipsen has prevailed in the Scheldeprijs one-day cycle classic in Flanders


    He crossed the line just ahead of Sam Bennett and Mark Cavendish.

    Kiwi Shane Archbold survived the chill to finish 90 seconds back in 69th across in the 194-kilometre race.

    Dutch rider Lorena Wiebies took out the women's 136-kilometre haul.

    Michaela Drummond was the best of the New Zealand contingent, finishing with the leaders in 30th.
