Simon Webbe and his wife Ayshen have welcomed their first child together

The 45-year-old pop star has taken to Instagram to announce the arrival of their baby, revealing they're already "so in love" with their child

Simon wrote on the photo-sharing platform: "We're so blessed to announce we have a new arrival Our baby is doing well, Mummy is in recovery and Daddy is rushed off his feet! (sic)"

The loved-up couple - who tied the knot back in 2018 - first revealed their pregnancy news via HELLO! magazine, and Simon admitted they're intending to reveal more about their baby through the same publication.

His post continued: "We want to be honest and let you know we're in our perfect bubble – our pregnancy reveal was with @hellomag and you will finally get to meet our bundle of joy through them too! We can't wait to introduce you to the most perfect baby. We're so in love. Thank you so much for all your support – it means the world. The Webbes xxx (sic)"

Simon - who also has a 24-year-old daughter called Alanah from a previous relationship - later added: "Thank you all for the support, all three of us thank you [heart emojis] (sic)"

In the comments section of his post, Simon's Blue bandmate Antony Costa congratulated the singer and Ayshen on the arrival of their baby.

Antony, 39 - who stars alongside Duncan James, Lee Ryan and Simon - also joked that he'll be the best "uncle" out of the band members.

He wrote on Instagram: "Congratulations to you both ..can’t wait to meet your new arrival...I think I’ll be the better uncle out of the lads x [heart emojis] (sic)"
