    Residents of a street on Auckland's North Shore have been allowed home again


    Police evacuated part of Sunrise Avenue, in Murrays Bay, upon discovering an unspecified suspicious item this morning.

    It was found during a warranted search at a residential property.

    Detective Inspector Kevin McNaughton says occupants are assisting with enquiries.

    He says Police cannot comment further while the investigation is ongoing.
