Former All Black Zac Guildford has lost a months-long appeal to keep his name secret, after punching a woman in the face

The woman's understood to still have breathing issues as a result.

The 32-year-old's name suppression has lapsed after the December 2019 incident.

The incident occurred in a car after a night out drinking in Hawke's Bay.

He's been given two years' intensive supervision which will be reviewed after 12 months.

The sentence also carries judicial monitoring every three months.
