A mouse hoping for a relaxing island weekend in Auckland has lucked out

The rodent stowaway was spotted scuttling off from a passenger's luggage into the confines of a warranted pest-free vessel.
It eluded capture for three days ... until finally hounded down by the Council rodent detection dog, Rosie.
Hauraki Gulf Biosecurity Manager Liz Brooks says it's a reminder of why biosecurity practises are so important.
She says it's why they ask passengers and boaties to carefully check their gear.
