The pair suffered minor shotgun pellet injuries after being shot yesterday morning, while walking a track in Alexandra.
One woman was injured in her leg and the other in her shoulder.
Queenstown police Detective Sergeant Paul Slate says a group of men hunting from a boat fired the shots.
He says they offered to help afterwards -- and then fled.
The men -- and anyone who saw the incident -- should call police on 10-5 .
