The housing market remains hot -- but it's slowed slightly over summer

New Stats NZ figures show almost 45-thousand home transfers between January and March.

That's down from more than 51-thousand between October and December -- reflecting the usual seasonal holiday drop.

But it's still up 34 percent on the same period last year.
