Canberra's confirmed English hooker Josh Hodgson has stood down as one of the NRL club's co-captains

It comes with the club on a four game losing skid.

Hodgson was handed the role in 2019 alongside Jarrod Croker .

Hodgson is sidelined with a calf injury and has not played for the past fortnight, after missing most of last season with an ACL injury.

Elliott Whitehead has been appointed as the new co-captain alongside Croker.
