New Zealand 15-year-olds are among some of the world's biggest internet users

New Zealand 15-year-olds are among some of the world's biggest internet users

An OECD report shows Kiwi teens spent 42 hours per week online, well above the international average of 35 hours per week in 2018.

It also revealed a slow decline in reading, science and maths achievements.

Albany Senior High School principal Claire Amos says it's hard to know whether increased screen time is to blame for the fall.

She says it's more likely it's improved our students digital literary skills.
