    Andy Maloney has won sailing's Finn Gold Cup off the coast of Portugal, which should earn him selection for the Tokyo Olympics


    New Zealand has one qualification spot available - compatriot, rival and friend Josh Junior was third.

    The pair's symbiotic relationship has worked wonders.



    Maloney was a model of consistency, triumphing at the event despite not winning any of the nine individual races.

    Whoever is selected to represent New Zealand will be coached by the other at the Games.
