Down 2-nil on aggregate, Brentford took advantage with three unanswered goals after the Cherries were reduced to 10 men.
Brentford will play Swansea City in the decider in a week's time, after the Welsh club drew with Barnsley 1-all to win 2-1 on aggregate.
