Police have arrested one person after a protest which closed two lanes of Auckland's Harbour Bridge

Police have arrested one person after a protest which closed two lanes of Auckland's Harbour Bridge

This morning two northbound lanes were closed due to cyclists at the Liberate the Lanes protest.

Some cyclists broke through a barrier the police had set up, and rode across the bridge.

The protesters were calling for greater bike access to the bridge.

No one was injured at the protest but police say they are disappointed with people who breached the barriers.
