May's OneRoof property report shows median house values in Mount Victoria increased 53 percent - or 525-thousand dollars.
That's more than any other suburb.
Grenada Village and Berhampore are next on the list, with a 47 percent lift - or 375-thousand dollars.
OneRoof editor Owen Vaughan says five years ago, Mount Vic houses cost about 650-thousand dollars.
He says that's growth of nearly a million dollars over five years, half of that in the past year.
Just seven Wellington city suburbs have median house values under one million dollars.
They are Tawa, Johnsonville, Newlands, Mount Cook, Paparangi, Wellington Central and Te Aro.
