An employer faces prosecution, over the use of illegal migrant labour at an Auckland construction site

An employer faces prosecution, over the use of illegal migrant labour at an Auckland construction site

Ten Chinese workers were found in breach of their visa conditions, at a site in March this year.

The employer will appear in the Waitakere District Court later this month.

If found guilty, they could face a fine of up to 10-thousand dollars.

Immigration's Stephen Vaughan, says the prosecution sends a clear message employers should follow the rules on using migrant labour.
