Some district health boards have been told to slow down injecting people with the Covid-19 vaccine

Some district health boards have been told to slow down injecting people with the Covid-19 vaccine

Several people have contacted the Otago Daily Times saying they've been told the South Island has low stocks of the vaccine.

Last week, Southern DHB chief executive Chris Fleming says their vaccination efforts could go faster but they need to slow down due to supply issues.

A spokeswoman for Covid-19 Response Minister Chris Hipkins says she's not aware of any blanket instruction to DHBs to slow vaccination rates.

She says there are enough doses of vaccine in New Zealand to meet the vaccine rollout plan.
