The World Health Organisation is reiterating the safety and effectiveness of Covid-19 vaccines

The World Health Organisation is reiterating the safety and effectiveness of Covid-19 vaccines

The organisation is reminding people that short term reactions like soreness at the injection site and headaches are common, but not cause for concern.

The statement says blood clots after the AstraZeneca vaccine are very rare, with estimates of 10 cases per million doses.

Clinical trials of the vaccine included 20 thousand individuals so it was unlikely to be picked up before it was developed.
