Offset thinks trap music is successful because it's more relatable than other genres

The 29-year-old rapper stars alongside Quavo and Takeoff in the chart-topping trio Migos, and Offset has explained the unique appeal of trap music, which is a sub-genre of hip-hop

He said: "A lot of people going through that struggle, going through pain, you know what I'm saying? Going through harder times, trying to make it out of one situation to be in a better situation.

"So I think it's going to stay ahead and we're going to stay at the forefront. We brought trap to the festivals, so they can't take that."

The popular group recently released their long-awaited new album, 'Culture III', and Offset has explained how it differs from the previous entries in the 'Culture' trilogies.

He told 'Entertainment Tonight': "We never did a project where we would take two-and-a-half, three years to whip it up in the kitchen.

"You know, we've been letting it marinate to make sure it's a perfect project ... We worked hard every day. We always in the studio trying to find new ways and always trying to push the culture."

Migos' new album cover depicts the trio as a "three-headed monster" and Offset explained that it's a reflection of how they see themselves.

The rap star also explained that in spite of their chart success, their bond remains as tight as ever.

Offset - who married fellow rapper Cardi B in 2017 - explained: "We all one. It's a blessing. You get to share life-changing moments with the people who you change your life for.

"All our families are one - we sit together, we eat together, you know what I'm saying?"
