The 28 year old reappeared at the High Court in Wellington this morning.
The Crown alleges he caused 58-year-old Simon Strickland's death, by punching his head.
Strickland died in hospital four days after the alleged assault in Te Papa's car park in February.
The man's already pleaded not guilty to manslaughter.
Justice Simon France today extended name suppression until another review next month, to allow time for medical assessments.
He's been remanded on bail with his trial scheduled for March next year.
