He's been elusive since the election but Winston Peters will be back on stage today at his party's AGM in Auckland

Newstalkzb's Political Editor Barry Soper says Peters was scheduled to talk to reporters after his keynote speech but he's now decided not to.

Peters will be wanting to avoid the inevitable question, whether he'll be making a political comeback at the next election in 2023.

He won't be wanting to make any commitment at this stage, that'll come closer to the election but chances are he will be running again - you can vote this man out of politics but you can't take the politics out of the man.
