Builders are feeling the pinch from jacked-up construction supply prices

The sector's reporting price hikes from anywhere between eight to 18 per cent, issues with international shipping and increasing demand for timber.
But the Building Supplies Co-Operative's Director says the industry hasn't slowed down... with the same number of building consents being issued.
Mike Blackburn says they've been advising shareholders to be prepared.
He says there's still stock coming into New Zealand - and builders just need to be smarter about talking to suppliers about getting orders in on time.
