The rise of Covid-19 cases in Australia has the Health Ministry on high-alert

The rise of Covid-19 cases in Australia has the Health Ministry on high-alert

Those in New Plymouth are being urged to get tested after the virus was picked up in wastewater earlier this week.

The Ministry says it could be from a recovered case, but could also indicate there's unknown community transmission.

Deputy Director of Public Health Harriette Carr says there's an increased likelihood a traveller from Australia is infected...

She says they are interested in anyone who's been in the country recently to get tested - whether they have symptoms or not.

The results from wastewater testing conducted in Taranaki yesterday are due back tomorrow.
