An eighth Michael Hill store has been robbed - adding to a year of heists

The Whakatane branch on The Strand had its front windows smashed last night, and store displays damaged.

A Pukekohe store was robbed a week ago - on top four in Auckland, two in Pukekohe and one in Wellington in the past 12 months.

There is no indication the robberies are linked.
