Raw unpasteurised drinking milk from a registered provider in Central Hawke's Bay is being recalled -- following detection of Campylobacter

Raw unpasteurised drinking milk from a registered provider in Central Hawke's Bay is being recalled -- following detection of Campylobacter

The recall affects two-litre plastic bottles of Lindsay Farm's organic raw milk -- with use-by dates between July 25 and July 30 -- sold through home deliveries and eight local shops.

Anyone with the product is being urged to throw it out, or return it to their supplier.

Alternatively, they can heat it to 70-degrees for one minute, or boil or scald it before drinking.

Campylobacter can cause severe gastrointestinal illness, particularly in young people, the elderly, pregnant women, and people with weakened immune systems.
